Pilo Lenger from Cologne, who shrunk about 5 cm from years of schlepping around his Hammond organ, decided to take up the art of drumming in 2005 and form a breath-taking heavy-psych-rock trio that would combine the funk of Little Barrie and the prog rock of Wolfmother. Replying to the weird worded ad Pilo put in the paper were student of greek philology, Stefan Schoo, and the Californian exile, Brian Louis Ramirez. Once the band's first 4-track demo landed in the hands of Frank Popp and his newly-founded label, TV EYE, and after having been able to witness their first live show at Sonic Ballroom in Cologne, Mr. Popp promptly ushered the three boys into the studio and compelled them to sign a recording contract. The first 6 songs from these sessions are compiled on the ON FIRE EP-a debut that could hardly be more fresh and exciting. Something to someone.
