Informationen zum Artikel: CD in stock now, vinyl later!! Oslo's best kept secret, The Cheaters finally managed to release their long awaited selftitled debut-album and what we get here are 11 tracks, incl. a superb cover of the 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS classic 'Reverberation' of dirty 60's infested rock'n'roll with a distinctive affinity for psychedelia, the aggression of 70's punk-rock and the catchiness of contemporary britpop. Walls of distorted guitars lead us through the whole album and we get to know all their fab influences, such as the music of the of all those 'Back from the grave' no hit wonders, the ANIMALS, the STONES, the MISUNDERSTOOD, Roky Erickson and even early MANDO DIAO and the WIPERS. This is not one of those typical garage records, fuzz loaded and organ drenched, but a little masterpiece made by three norwegian guys who managed to push our beloved garage sounds to the next level. Just excellent!
