Informationen zum Artikel: Formed in 1997 by Philipp Albrecht (guitar), Rene Albrecht (drums) and Christoph Lenz (bass) entered singer Christian Erne the band in 2000. Since he left Plenty Enuff in 2007 Philipp Albrecht and Jessica Sigfalk took the micro power. Plenty Enuff have been experimenting with Sounds from the Sixties for almost ten years. Starting off with a traditional type of Ska they soon switched to a dark blend of Roots- Reggae. Their large amount of shows already brought them to the Jazz Festival of Montreux this year. Their 2003 released EP 'Roots Rebel Ska' established the band's synthesis of traditional ska and modern, reggae-orientated sound. That sound differs a lot from the usual ska as Plenty Enuff heavily make use minor scales. Although the songs consist of minor scales the band is able to fight the melancholy especially by putting lots of punk attitude - no colored hair, no noisy guitars and no deaf drummers, just attitute - into each track. Punk has become an important aspect of the politically motivated Plenty Enuff. You can see it between the lines and beats but of course not as a kind of musical anarchy. Another distinctive element in the music of Plenty Enuff is the three-vocal-singing - typical for reggae - and the strong influence of soul, jazz and also singer/songwriter style. After a debut full of heartaches called 'Schauermärchen' (2005, Leech Records) Plenty Enuff released 'Random Walk' (2007, Leech Records) - a rather dancy record made of ska, reggae and soul with a big pinch of The Slackers, Marvin Gaye and Toots & The Maytals, just to mention a few heroes. After three successful records dedicated to jamaican music, Plenty Enuff from the small town of Schaffhausen are currently working on a new record, which is due to be released in spring 2009. To shorten the waiting period they deliver the single 'Shoot The Birds' - an edgy, handcrafted type of Soul, that hits the dancefloor just as much, as it fits the couch. From your ear to your head to your feet. No birds shooting but hip shaking. As we like it the most 'Shoot The Birds' will be released as a 7Inch via Unique Records.
