Informationen zum Artikel: Despite being formed in the Spring of 2007, The Jackets members are not new to the Swiss and European Rock-and-Roll-underground scene. Singer and guitar player Jackie Brutsche had been on the road since 2000 playing many live shows and recording with various bands such as Zurich's THE FOX and the Bernese girl group THE MAD COWGIRL DISEASE as well as performing and working in various theater and film productions. Chris Rosales, an American who moved to Switzerland in 1994 from Los Angeles had been touring and recording for over ten years with several Voodoo Rhythm Records bands such as REVEREND + LIGHTNING BEATMAN, THE SUPER SUPERS and THE GET LOST!. Bassist Samuel 'Schmidi' Schmidiger has been setting stages on fire around Switzerland for the last several years playing guitar and singing with The Budget Boozers and picking the bass for Suehiro Commander. Combining sixties garage, mod, '77 punk rock, Psychedelia and their devotion to bands like The MC5, The Monks, and The Music Machine, The Jackets bring a dynamic recipe to the garage rock 'menu'. What is important to note is that the Jackets play songs; their own original compositions that deal with anything from broken hearts (Get Back With You) or popping pills (Vitamin 25) to stories about lost souls (Sadie) and homages to literature (Mr. Stranger- Camus).
