Can Rock 'n' Roll simultaneously stand for cool 60's Beat, elegant Pop melodies and rumbling Garage-Punk?
For sure! DOCTOR EXPLOSION are the quick and living evidence. 60's Punk and Pop Beat will ding in

KING SALAMI & THE CUMBERLAND 3 (UK) - 'MOJO WORKOUT FOR PARTY FREAKS'
Up-tempo Rhythm'n'Blues Stomp, former NIPPLE ERECTORS, CANNIBALS, PAUL COLLINS BEAT, THE
ULCERS, CHINESE LUNGS and PARKINSONS members, according to the principles of the patriarchal
London trash school. In the short time of their existence King Salami, Kamikaze U.T. Vincent, El Dirty
Sanchez, Eric Baconstrip, Pepe Ronnie & Doctor Stein have already gathered a worldwide entourage of
Screamin' Jay Hawkins-, Bo Diddley- & Andre Williams-Afficionados around them with their mix of R&B,
Oldschool Rockabilly, dirty Rock'n Roll and a pinch of Soul.
THE NORVINS (F) - \\'84FUZZ, SCREAMS AND TAMBOURINES '
High-heel Chelsea boots, original 60's vintage stage equipment and a love to the great Mid-60's Garage Beat
of the REMAINS, SYNDICATE OF SOUND, 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS & LYRES are typical predilections of
this five gentlemen. Cover versions like \\'84Abba' (PARAGONS) or 'Nothin'' (UGLY DUCKLINGS) proof, that the
parisians have pore over and internalized the original 60's Garage Fuzz Punk, but also the one or the other
PLIMSOULS- or MODERN LOVERS-LP is in their luggage.
MUCK & THE MIRES (USA) - \\'84THE PASSION OF EARLY SIXTIES ROCK'N'ROLL'
1999 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA founded, the songs of MUCK and his MIRES sound like quasi forgotten
classics of the 60's. BEATLES-LIKE songs with a pinch of Power Pop, which get a 100 % recognition effect by
the terrific voice of Evan Shore. For friends of the KAISERS & SATURN V and so timeless good, that they
have already released a \\'84Best Of' album before the band was established at all! From LITTLE STEVEN VAN
ZANDT as the now best band of the USA described, they already shared the stage as the winner of the
\\'84Underground Garage Battle of the Bands' with such illustrious bands like the STOOGES, THE STROKES,
the BAY CITY ROLLERS and BO DIDDLEY.
THE STAGS - 'GIMME SOME SEX-FIZZ'
THE STAGS from Wigan, Northwest England (home town of the pastries, the Northern Soul and Uncle Joe's
Mintballs) have a tendency to Burlesque, Rock'n'Roll, GoGo-Dancing und French Ye-Ye, performed by the
charming and extremely enchanting Miss Topsy. The STAGS never got adult, but artists like GEORGIE
FAME, THE SONICS, LULU, JIMMY SMITH or THE EASYBEATS have at least left their musical mark. Owing
to their proclivity to the trash culture of the 50's and the 60's the STAGS are a visual delight too and they
understand how to make everybody dance with their mix of Hammond driven ass shaking groovy Mod Instros,
Sixties Garage/Beat and R'n'B, even if you think, that the 60's were an ancient decade.
For the local bonus track the Stags placed one of their own songs at the disposal for the Soundflat girls, but
hear and form your own opinion about this track!
PETER BERRY & THE SHAKE SET (SE) - 'FOR GOODNESS SHAKE'
The one who has (maybe only) a small affinity for the Garage-Rock'n'Roll of the 60's, should not miss these
four men from Oslo. They celebrate with lots of attention to detail the authentic Mersey-Beat in the style of the
SHADOWS, THE SWINGING BLUE JEANS or SHANE FENTON & THE FENTONES. Rickenbacker, Fender
& Stratocaster are used very professional and catapult the interested listener back in the era of the Star Club
and the Koenigskeller. Uncompromising Beat Stomper and Merseybeat inspired Pop pearls, awesome and
skillful put in scene!
