Here comes the 9th edition of the Soundflat Records Ballroom Bash compilation CD - the 'soundtrack' of our legendary annual label festival. Like every year, this CD contains songs (- partly previously unreleased!) by each of the bands playing at this wild festival, which is held in Cologne, Germany. This year the Ballroom Bash compilation features songs by THE ELECTRIC MESS, THE ROYAL ROOSTERS, ADOLPHE SEX ET SES MACHINES, CAYMAN KINGS, JON AND THE VONS and MOONRITE. This CD is a musical summary of this years Ballroom Bash-line-up and thereby not only a fantastic item for your personal collection of Garage&RocknRollmemorabilia and souvenirs, but also a great selection of todays 60s Garage- and Beat-bands. A CD that shouldnt be missing from your shelf!
THE ELECTRIC MESS - Frantic Garagepunk with 80s revival influence from New York Exciting and tight garage-rocknroll-band led by an androgynous and dynamic lead singer, with three well received records under their belts (the vinyl versions of 'House on Fire' released by SFR and their debut record on vinyl out right on time for the Bash!)
THE ROYAL ROOSTERS - wild Rhythm'n'Blues from Madrid If you like wild rhythm and blues, early soul, teenager rock and roll or 60s ska, the Royal Roosters are your new favourite band. Emerging from the fabulous Imperial Surfers from Madrid, these fanaticos del ritmo y blues will be breaking all worldwide very soon with their danceable debut single on Soundflat Records and their fun live shows!
ADOLPHE SEX ET SES MACHINES - hammond flavoured garage with saxophone Powerful porno groove French/Belgian garage band with hammond flavour mixed with fuzzy guitar and shiny saxophone. With their fantastic second 7' out right on time for the Ballroom Bash and their debut LP soon to follow. Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy!
CAYMAN KINGS - French Garage-fuzz-sensation The Cayman Kings give you sixties garage rock without compromise! Surrender to the wild attacks of the fuzz guitar and the raunchy organ of these crazy newcomers! These boys built up an incredible reputation, so we cannot wait for their upcoming debut LP on Soundflat Records!
JON AND THE VONS - lo-fi 'Back From The Grave'-Garagepunk from Paris Jon and the Vons give you your favourite tracks from your favourite compilations (Garage Punk Unknowns, Back From The Grave etc.) These four Parisians and one Parisienne (members of Rip Offs, Four Slicks, Dragueurs, Arondes, Braqueurs etc.) have their brand new debut 7' coming out on Soundflat. With tube amps, vintage instruments and an all-out garage sound, they have only one ambition... to get you dancing! They're never going to make it to MTV, but that's already a good sign! Shine your boots, pull on your striped T-shirt, here they are!
MOONRITE - psychedelic hammond newcomer-duo Heavily attracted by the mix of genres 'gothic/pop/psychedelic', the two brothers (including Yann Cracker from Towerbrown and The Gentlemens Agreements) play dark and groovy music, that sounds like a gloomy hippie trip interpreted with an original organ/drum line up. Moonrite is so brand new, so the four songs are their first ever release!
