ST MORRIS SINNERS - Songs about insects CD

Preis: 8,90 €
Preis inkl. MwSt, zzgl. Versand

The Sinners have played with an array of bands since their first incarnation almost 4 years ago. Including: King Khan & the BBQ Show (Canada) Tex Perkins and The Ape, Kim Salmon, Spencer P. Jones, Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds (USA) and supporting The Monkeywrench (USA)

The albums overriding theme is centred around insects. How people can be related to insects, in similarities such as: characteristics, appearance and behaviour. How places can be relatable to insects through symbolism, atmosphere and environment. Finally how situations can be centred on insects in the form of day to day occurrences and anecdotes. The simple fact is insects are such interesting and diverse creatures in the animal kingdom. You always hear and see humanity constantly try to humanise dogs and cats, how come we never try to empathise or understand the ant or weevil?

The album is entitled, "Songs About Insects." It was recorded at Wizard Tone Studios, in November of last year 2015. It was recorded and mixed by James Brown and Mastered by Jarrad Payne.
The album had a few accompanying musicians, Jamie Capatch played Tenor Saxophone, Dave Moran (who also appeared on our self-titled EP 2013 and our first album For Lease 2014) played Cello on a few tracks and I sang a duet with Bianca Carbone on the closing track, "She's Like Fireflies".
Their previous releases include: Self titled EP (2013) and For Lease (2014) they have fared generally well and have received positive reviews. We are really especially happy with our latest release but we consider each release as important as the other and too different to rank.
St Morris Sinners album launch at Jive November 19th joining us will be old friends The Systemaddicts and Scum Vegas.
