Saba Lou has been making records since she was six bloody years old, released her debut album "Planet Enigma" at fifteen and followed it with "Novum Ovum" while she was still a teenager. Now the Berlin-based singer and songwriter returns with album number three after stepping away from music for a while, studying biochemistry and generally doing some growing up - which, rather wonderfully, explains why the first two songs here are inspired by hydrogen electrodes and UV light!

"Nothing but love" is deliberately split into two halves. Side A was written gradually over four years and follows Saba Lou through a new relationship, university and the pandemic, while Side B brings things right up to the present and turns inward. The anger and uncertainty of youth make way for something gentler and more reflective, particularly on the title track and closing "Devoted". It's a personal coming-of-age record without all the usual bloody coming-of-age clichés - thoughtful, intimate, occasionally strange and unmistakably Saba Lou.

A welcome return after a long break, and proof that starting your recording career at six doesn't necessarily mean you've said everything by the time you're twenty!
