More than four decades after their original run, West Midlands Mod Revival favourites The Circles are indeed "Still Here" - and, more importantly, they're still writing new material rather than simply living off their past.
Written by founding member Mick Walker and longtime guitarist Martin Ratcliffe, "Still Here" has everything you'd want from The Circles: driving guitars, a strong melody and plenty of Mod energy, with lyrics about persistence and refusing to quietly disappear. It's a fitting statement from a band whose story stretches all the way back to the original late-'70s/early-'80s Mod Revival.
The flip revisits "Dignity & Pride", transforming the soulful ballad into the faster, punchier arrangement the band now play live.
Two sides of fresh material from one of the original Mod Revival bands - still here, and clearly not finished yet.
