The Question 7" presents the two most recent recordings by The Jackets, released in parallel with the Essentials LP. Rather than outtakes or bonus tracks, both songs were written as new material and reflect the band's current line-up and approach.

Since 2008, The Jackets have remained active through constant touring and regular releases, keeping their sound direct and unpolished without becoming static. 'The Question' and 'Rock & Roll Band' continue that line: concise songs, recorded without excess, and intended to be played live as much as heard on record.

The single stands on its own, but also connects directly with Essentials, marking the present moment of the band rather than revisiting the past.
