On their second album, Norway's The Hiveminds expand their garage rock foundation with elements of post-punk, indie rock and dark melodic pop.

"The Restless Park" balances moody atmospheres and minimalistic arrangements with energetic performances and memorable songwriting. Throughout the album, jangling guitars, driving rhythms and melancholic melodies create a sound that sits somewhere between garage rock urgency and post-punk introspection.

Fans of Dead Moon, The Gun Club, The Sound and contemporary bands such as The Mystery Lights will appreciate the band's ability to combine rawness and melody without sacrificing either. While darker moods run through much of the record, there is always a strong sense of momentum and plenty of catchy hooks beneath the surface.

A highly enjoyable blend of garage rock, post-punk and indie rock from one of Norway's most interesting underground bands.
