For the third time the French Garage-Fuzz-Rockers THE NORVINS supply us with yet another hit-album: 'No Tyme For Tears'! Fuzzy guitars, groovy organ-melodies, a smashing beat, powerful and unique vocals, a bit of harmonica and a touch of psychedelia constitute this band's signature-sound. While it remains faithful to this winning mixture in every way, the new album uncovers a fresh facet of this remarkable group and manifests a refined NORVINS-sound, which is even more captivating than what we're already used to from the guys. The album, available as CD and LP, is rounded as well as diverse. Fast, catchy tunes like 'I Wanna Shake You Girl' build on the rough and fuzzy Garagepunk-sound of the group's debutalbum. 'Dark Avenue' and 'TV Program' have a slightly dramatic feel to them, featuring a melodic organ, a cool guitar and a psychedelic hint, while the final song 'Turn Off The Light' even has a touch of melancholic folk-music to it. As usual, the five Parisians include some fantastic covers of Garagepunk-classics - this time 'I Need Your Lovin'' (THE EPIC FIVE) and 'Destination Lonely' (THE HUNS). The outcome is an exciting record, that should not be missing in any 60's-Garagepunkcollection: wild Garagepunk, while at the same time professional and multifaceted.
