Hot on the heels of Vol. 1 - or rather released at exactly the same bloody time - Ronnie Yoshiko Fujiyama of The 5.6.7.8's and Australian garage veterans Cheetah Beat dig even deeper into the wonderfully strange world of vintage Japanese pop and soul.

This time they tackle Jun Mayuzumi's 1968 "Black Room", turning the funky go-go soul original into a suitably wild garage dancer, while the flip takes on Michi Aoyama's 1964 "Short On Love" with fuzz, beat and plenty of mod-garage attitude. Yoshiko's unmistakable voice fits these old Showa-era tunes ridiculously well, while Cheetah Beat make the whole thing sound as though it was recorded in some sweaty garage club rather than more than half a century after the originals.

The second of two simultaneously released Time Bomb singles, once again limited to just 500 copies with picture sleeve. If you're taking Vol. 1, you'll probably bloody need this one too!
