The Sha La La's have never been particularly interested in staying in one musical box, jumping happily between Northern Soul, mod, power pop and beat - and "Gotta Get You Into My Soul" finds the London outfit stirring the whole bloody lot together once again.

This time there's a darker, tougher edge to their soulful mod sound: swirling organ, sharp guitars and a driving rhythm section wrapped around another seriously catchy Darron Robinson vocal. Somewhere between The Jam, The Who, The Doors and a sweaty Northern Soul dancefloor - without really sounding quite like any of them.

Another cracking Detour 45 from a band that seems determined to make being difficult to pigeonhole part of the fun!
