Now the time has come, the French combo BEE DEE KAY & THE ROLLER COASTER are bringing their new, 3rd longplayer on the market, and this at our fine SOUNDFLAT RECORDS label. The full energy band, stylistically, musically and by all different 50s/60s-trash characteristic things influenced, is releasing a further showpiece with this new record "Lowdown & Dirty". The present line-up got together in 1995, after the manic and wild frontman BEE DEE KAY joined the Roller Coasters. The Roller Coasters are existing since 1992 and they caused quite a stir not only with their surf music hymns. Among others, the 5 musicians played in bands like KING KHAN & THE SHRINES, DEE CATS BLUE DEVILS, VIBRAFINGERS, REVENANTS, BABY FACE COMBO, BEACHBREAKERS, MOTORBOOTY. The band developed their sound, while they were still mixing up all the interesting music styles of the late 50s and early 60s, like Garage, Surf, R'N'B, Soul, R'N'R as well as Punk-Rock and a bouncing lace of exotic things, without being servile to any rules. This and also the fact, that the live performance of the band is so wild and loose-fitting - they look like freshly run away from virgin forest - possibly represents the jungle-like atmosphere of the band. "WILD NYMPHOMANIC CREATURES ARE HAVING WILD SEX WITH A GORILLA!!!" Before the weird Frenchmen were coming to SOUNDFLAT RECORDS, they released 2 albums ("AMAZING STORIES" - Banana Juice Records/Wagram Records and "Universoul Twister" - Banana Juice Records/Larsen Records), 2 EP'S as well as numberless contributions on samplers/compilations by different labels all over Europe. Live they appeared at gigs all over Europe too, so their wild behaviour was put on stage at renowned festivals like e. g. WILD WEEKEND. With the saxophon (played by , which is the driving force from BEE DEE KAY & THE ROLLER COASTER), the guitars and drum, which are tuned harmonically, and a vocalist, who is freaking out like a beast, which has just broken out from its cage the 4 boys about frontman BEE DEE KAY put everyone in a dancing state of trance, who at least merely has come in touch with. Despite this hot musical mix, which is given also on their newest album "LOWDOWN & DIRTY", again with vigorous and enthusiastic energy, they still keep their distinctive and unique style. Whether it's caused by the quality, that the band is wildly mixing up all their influences or being one the the most diversified combos with a high recognition value. Or the weird and crazy performance of BEE DEE KAY, which also super energetically can be recognized by his varied but skilfull voice, what is responsible for the originality of the band? This surely must be your own decision! With this record everybody will see clearly, that this 5 boys, who recently run away, have sold their soul for music.
