BUZZCOCKS in the late 90s? You bet! Originally released in 1999, "Modern" finds PETE SHELLEY, STEVE DIGGLE and company taking their unmistakable punk rock sound into slightly different territory, mixing those classic BUZZCOCKS hooks, sharp guitars and catchy melodies with synthesizers and a more contemporary production. Still very much the BUZZCOCKS, but certainly not just another attempt to recreate "Ever Fallen In Love" or "Orgasm Addict"!

Fourteen tracks including "Soul On A Rock", "Rendezvous", "Speed Of Life", "Thunder Of Hearts" and "Don't Let The Car Crash", showing a band willing to experiment without completely abandoning the melodic punk rock that made them famous in the first place. An interesting chapter in the band's long history, especially for those who followed them beyond their original late-70s heyday.

Originally issued in 1999 and now finally back on vinyl courtesy of Hey Suburbia, this time on BLUE VINYL! A welcome opportunity to rediscover one of the less frequently discussed BUZZCOCKS albums. For fans and completists!
