You won't believe it! Cosmic Psychos return with astonishing confession "I Really Like Beer"! 40 years+ of stupid, clever punk rock continue with a brand-new "concept" album about beer, although each earlier album released by the guys has been kinda concept album about it too. The beer fathers of Aussie punk sounding like the Ramones fronted by Crocodile Hunter, they write songs in a distinctly down under manner about drinking, fighting, roadkill and best times. The lads bludgeoning take on punk has proven durable, influencing everyone from L7 and The Meanies to The Chats and Amyl & The Sniffers. The noisy punk trio was originally formed by Bill Walsh, Peter Jones and Ross Knight around Melbourne, ca. 1985. Robbie Watts replaced Jones on guitar in 1990/91, and after a hiatus, 2005 the Psychos went to the studio to record a new album with new drummer Dean Muller (ex-Voodoo Lust) replacing Bill Walsh. After the shock of the tragic loss of Robbie Watts in 2006, it was an option to drop the brand "Cosmic Psychos". But Knight was overwhelmed by the grief and support of the fans, so he decided, with full support from Robbie's kids, that "There's more beer to be drunk!". John McKeering (from The Onyas) had already been friend of the band for quite some time, and in late 2006 he was chosen to play guitar with Knight & Muller from that point on. With a legendary debut EP, almost a dozen studio albums, a handful of live ones too, plus a fan funded documentary with a rather prominent alternative scene cast under their belt, the blokes you can trust still deliver 12 new tracks of straightforward, lager-soaked punkrock for fans of Celibate Rifles, Radio Birdman, early Saints, mid-period Ramones, Hard-Ons, C.O.F.F.I.N. and Stiff Richards. The new record is classic Psychos, Aussie Punkrock as raw, loud and gloriously dumb as ever - with the occasional life lesson hidden under a pile of riffs. So look out for CD (Jewelcase) or classic black or coloured LP versions!
