PINK VINYL! UK punk veterans Charlie Harper of U.K. Subs and Del Greening of Peter And The Test Tube Babies join forces for Derik & The Disasters, backed by Vicky Smith of the Ramonas on bass and Marley Perez on drums.

Recorded with minimal preparation and plenty of spontaneity, the album grew out of riffs, rough song ideas and studio jams. The result is fourteen tracks of direct, energetic punk rock that naturally carries traces of Harper and Greening's musical past while sounding like a proper new band rather than a nostalgia project.

Songs such as "Deadlines", "Cyber War", "Divide" and "Lost" combine sharp guitar work and strong hooks with lyrics tackling contemporary political and social issues. Raw where it needs to be, melodic when it counts and played by musicians who certainly don't need lessons in punk rock - "Derik & The Disasters" proves there's still plenty of noise left in the old guard.
