The FLANDERS 72 have been an absolute flagship of the label for many years. With their poppy, catchy GREEN DAY-RAMONES punk rock anthems, the Brazilian trio has won a respectable group of fans worldwide. The band has now started work on their next album, which is due out in mid-2024. To bridge the gap and as a little appetizer, there is now a classic vinyl single with two songs. The A-side features the new song "Lucy Moved To London". I now lean far out of the window and dare to say that this is their strongest song so far. Daring thesis, considering the great pop-punk anthems the band has already launched. And what else is there to say about the song? The song was recorded at the venerable Abbey Road Studios. And somehow you can hear that in the song. In addition to GREEN DAY and RAMONES, there is also a fresh BEATLES breeze blowing through the song and it somehow fits like a glove. Absolute hit potential. In a just world, the song would find itself in the charts and on many radio stations. And fittingly there is an exclusive BEATLES cover on the B-side with "Please Mr. Postman", simply beautiful. And while we're on the subject of beauty.
