Back into the forgotten corners of the American sixties garage scene we go! Volume 5 of Arcania International's "Aliens, Psychos & Wild Things" series digs up another batch of previously unreleased garage punk, surf and psychedelic recordings from Virginia and beyond. Twenty tracks of teenage frustration, primitive rock'n'roll and obscure musical adventures that somehow escaped the record shops the first time around!

Among the bands getting their long-overdue moment in the spotlight are MID CITY SHADOWS, THE MODS, THURSDAYS CHILDREN, THE UNKNOWNS, HAMPTON SIT-INS, RISE, THE SECOND COMING and MORNING DISASTER, plus a few more names that should have dedicated garage collectors reaching for their notebooks. From fuzzed-up teenage beat and surf instrumentals to the more psychedelic end of the sixties underground, this collection promises plenty of forgotten treasures and unexpected discoveries.

No million-selling hits, no familiar oldies compilation, just the kind of wonderfully obscure material that makes digging through the history of garage rock so much fun. Another fascinating chapter in the "Aliens, Psychos & Wild Things" series, and one for serious fans of sixties punk, regional garage bands and long-lost American rock'n'roll!
