It's her darkest album, published by CORPOC and Otis Recordings. the album will be released on LP + CD format . Her debut as a soloist, the 7' Leave this Town , self-produced in March 2013, has been acclaimed with astonishment by critics and audiences and has allowed Elli de Mon to play in more than 70 shows all over Italy . Elli de Mon is just a resophonic guitar, bass drum, bells, voice and saturated ampliviers : a real one-girl-band. the soul part of the folk duo Le- Li, a project with which the Elli has toured in the recent past throug Italy and Europe and released an EP on 2 discs and albums on Garrincha, is shaken by the awakening of the inner demon that the playful and dreamy songs the duo had managed to calm down. Elisa describes her album like this: "Blues music is not submissive . You sing what it's really difficult for you to sing , behind a window or sitting at the feet of the mountain in your hometown. A mountain that rises from the plain and obstruct your path. A mountain whose name means ''guardian of the deads. " And you grow up in limbo, in the limen between what's real and what's legendary, protected by that gatekeeper. And then you start to name your demons and throw them out, putting them off side at least for the duration of a song, a time where your obsessions take shape." the result is a dark and heavy album: alike the blues, the lyrics are a obsessive repetition of a few verses , self-referring mantras which free the mind. the imagery of the night often returns, as the need to find her own way without falling into the temptations of evil . the invocation of divinities is nothing more than an attempt to re-confirm her own identity. Drawing heavily from the shamanic tradition of Bessie Smith, Son House and Fred McDowell, Elli continues to battle her own demons with the instrument she likes the most: music. A new blues, made of slides and contaminated with punk inuences (Elisa also militated in Almandine Quite Deluxe ), which tells the need to emerge from the shadows, leaving behind her darkest experiences, going beyond the night, so beloved by demons, and to emerge from the uncertainty of that future brings.
