The Spanish instrumental Frat- and Twist-combo THE IMPERIAL SURFERS are back again with the second part of the 'double shot-series' - two brand-new EPs by these crazy partyanimals from Madrid! And as usual, when listening to this band's songs you will be put in a good mood immediately! Fine melodies, sharp guitar-sounds, a striking sax, furious drums, a cool bass and a lot of party-energy make out these stylish musicians and that's what you can find once again in these two new releases. This time the eight songs are exclusively cover-songs of great 60's tunes with an extra imperial touch. The cover-artwork matches the first double-shot edition, only this time instead of the four imperial-guys on the cover they feature two hot cover-girls! (If you've already got the first edition at home you can hang them up next to those on your wall and together they visually form a target board.) Shot 3 consists of four brilliant coversongs (,which we know the boys always do very well). The first one is an instrumental take on 'Ven que estoy hirviendo' (famously covered by Los Gatos), introducing the double-shot edition in a way that makes you dance and shake the second you put that vinyl on your turntable! Following up is a great cover of the uptempo instrumental dancer 'Back Slop' by Baby Earl & The Trini-dads. The flip-side starts with the Motown-classic 'Don't let her be your baby', covered in a Frat- Rock-way that is a lot of fun. Completing the 3 shot EP is 'Holy Flypaper', originally by Nelson Riddle, which you might know from the exclusive original television soundtrack of the Batman-series. The groovy saxophone in it as well as the fantastic guitar solo-part in the middle complemented by a cool bass and a nice beat will mentally take you back to 1966 and make you want to dance the 'Batusi'. Shot 4 starts off just as nicely with a cover of THE FERRARI'S OF CANADA's '(All I ever want is) Girls', a catchy Frat Rock tune. Then comes a cool sax-driven instrumental version of the classic hit 'Sinner not a Saint' by Trini Lopez. THE IMPERIAL SURFERS' cover of the crazy Spanish Freakbeat-song 'Bugulu' by Los Albas coming out of your speakers will create the perfect party-atmosphere and guarantee that nobody nearby will be able to sit down any longer. Finally the finishing song of this double-shot of great rock'n'roll is the Surf-classic 'Twitchin'' by Pastel Six, which will make you feel like you're partying next to the sea. So when you want to impress your friends and convert your living room into a dance floor, simply dim the light, turn the loudness of these 'DOUBLE SHOTS' to maximum and you are ready to go. Of course you can use the EPs also for every 60's R'N'R, Frat Rock, Surf & Beat party to fill up the dancefloor.
