THE SIXTY SECOND SWINGERS from La Rochelle, France now release their first LP BETTER WITH FUZZ BABE! on Soundflat Records - and it is a dirty, fuzzy Garagepunk-monster indeed! As their name already gives away (a reference to the classic by Little Phil and The Night Shadows), these lads play some crazy, loud Garage Punk á la 'Back from the Grave'-compilations. If you like explosive, danceable Rock'n'Roll with a dark farfisasound and a distinguishable 80's-revival influence, you will love this wild new record and play it so loud, that you won't hear your neighbours complaining The four musicians formed in 2007 from members of THE MEAN THINGS, THE SKEPTICS, THE MAGNETIX, THE WILD ZEROS, THE PNEUMONIAS all of which are known and beloved in the (French) Garage-Punk scene. The Swingers previously released two EPs on Fuzz-Overdose Records and Howlin' Banana Records and delivered some wild international live-shows before releasing their mind-blowing debut album. The first song 'On my way' already captures you completely and is followed by ten more musical gems. This is a fast-paced, very catchy LP with heavy fuzz-guitars, howling vocals in a Punk Rock-style and a distinctive organ. 'I Got Something' for example will charm you with an evil sounding organ, that sounds as if it was played by a skelleton on a graveyard. You will feel like most songs could almost be taken directly from a Miracle Workers- or a Gruesomes-album, only that these guys add their certain Sixty-Second- Swingers-something, that will get you addicted to them. Also included in this musical treat, aside from their own compositions - and you can call each one of them a hit - are three fabulous coversongs of classics that we all love, 'City Of People' by The Illusions, 'Born Loser' by Murphy & The Mob and 'Searchin'' by The Omens.
