Chris Masuak needs little introduction to fans of Australian high-energy rock'n'roll. As guitarist with Radio Birdman and later The Hitmen, Screaming Tribesmen and New Christs, he helped shape a sound that continues to influence garage and punk bands around the world.

Dog Soldier teams Masuak with Stuart Wilson and Phil Hall of the Lime Spiders for another dose of loud, guitar-driven rock'n'roll. There are unmistakable traces of his past throughout the album - sharp riffs, plenty of power and that characteristic combination of Detroit-inspired muscle and strong melodies - but this is no exercise in nostalgia.
