A new solo album from one of the true legends of the Medway garage rock scene.

Best known as a founding member of The Milkshakes and later The Masonics, Mick Hampshire strips everything back on "That Crooked White Line", relying solely on his voice and an unamplified Grimshaw semi-acoustic guitar. The result is an intimate collection of songs that highlights his distinctive songwriting and unmistakable delivery.

Recorded with longtime friends Kevin Younger and Jim Riley, the album has an honest, homespun atmosphere that perfectly suits Hampshire's roots in blues, folk and early rock'n'roll. Without losing the raw spirit that has defined his career for more than four decades, these recordings reveal a more reflective and personal side of one of Britain's great underground musicians.
