More than 40 years of fuzz, Farfisa and psychedelic garage madness! "The Fuzztones Vs. The World" tells the story of one of the most important bands of the '80s garage revival, from their beginnings in New York in 1980 right through to Rudi Protrudi still taking the band around the world today.

Directed by music-documentary veteran Danny Garcia ("The Rise And Fall Of The Clash", "Looking For Johnny", "STIV"), the film combines footage from The Fuzztones' 2024 Spanish tour with the full, frequently turbulent history of the band. More than 30 people contribute to the story, including Rudi Protrudi, Deb O'Nair, Lana Loveland, Lenny Kaye, Jayne County, Jake Cavaliere, Elan Portnoy, Michael Jay and numerous former Fuzztones.

With over 40 Fuzztones classics on the soundtrack, there's plenty of music alongside the stories, line-up changes and inevitable rock'n'roll chaos. It's also a fascinating document of the late-'70s/early-'80s New York underground that produced the band's particular mixture of '60s garage, psychedelia and punk.

Four decades, more than 17 line-ups and Rudi still refusing to stop. As he puts it himself: "I plan on dying on stage." That sounds about right.
