Ha!! So, what do you expect of a band that took their name from a GUN CLUB song? RIGHT, exactly!!! Here's the debut 4-track ep by this ace band from Oslo, housed in a great cardboardcover!! For the love of rock 'n' roll. For the love of twangy guitars. For the love of sweat dripping stage antics. For The Love Of Ivy.

How much delay ridden, jingle jangly, sexy noise can you get from one guitar, one drum and one singer? That's what this band is all about. Starting out as a gift for a friend's bachelor party, For The Love Of Ivy have grown into a rock 'n' roll experiment gone bad in a good way - mixing influences from blues, rockabilly, punk rock and belly dancing.

Since the beginning two years ago this little outfit have been a hot topic in the Oslo underground scene. This finally caught the eyes and ears of Oslo based label Big Day Records and a debut EP is due on the 7th of April 2017, on 7'' record and on digital platforms.

Even though they started out by playing covers of bands like The Cramps and The Gun Club, For The Love Of Ivy now mainly focus on writing original material. But they still enjoy interpreting other artist's songs in their own special way.

For The Love Of Ivy have played several punk and garage rock festivals and have toured the norwegian rock club scene, both on their own and as warm up act for the likes of The Dogs, Los Plantronics, King Dude and The Fuzztones to mention a few.

The music is recorded at Sinsen Sonic by Hagen Rormark, mixed by Martin "Konie" Ehrencrona (Les Big Byrd, Viagra Boys) and mastered by Daniel Husayn (Red Dons, Thee Spivs) at the North London Bomb Factory Mastering.

For The Love Of Ivy proves something DOES go bump in the night. They prove your parents still don't want you to like certain bands (even if you're all grown up). Think tight pants and loose morals. Think black leather and bare skin. Think For The Love Of Ivy.
