Recorded at Fort Horton, and written by Jeremy Slemenda, The Saddle Sores' debut on El Toro takes the listener back to Slemenda's first musical love, Western Swing and Country Jazz. Heather Rae Johnson takes the microphone for "I'm Over Bein' Sober Over You". The song is written and performed in the Hot Jazz/Swing fashion, mixed with Hillbilly, complete with twin guitars from Slemenda and Dave Biller. "Sweet Tooth Baby" is written in the old fashioned love style, mixing sweet yet salacious imagery, and performed in a Swingin' Hillbilly manner, approaching early rockabilly.
