First official reissue of this rare 1967 garage 45 by The Sound Barrier from Salem, Oregon.

Formed by junior high school friends in the wake of the British Invasion, the band had previously played as The Spectrums and The Zounds before recording these two tracks for their own Zounds label. "(My) Baby's Gone" is a catchy and driving garage punker with jangling guitars and a strong teen-beat feel, while "Hey Hey" adds a tougher edge and plenty of raw 60s energy.

Recorded in a makeshift local studio, both sides capture the charm and excitement of young American garage bands discovering their own sound. A fine reissue for fans of obscure 60s garage, teen beat and regional private-press 45s.

Limited to 357 numbered copies in a picture sleeve.
