ADOLPHE SEX ET SES MACHINES - Poudre a muscle LP

After their fabulous two singles - their debut released by STAG-O-LEE Records that was sold out in no time and their brilliant second 7' 'Baseball' on SOUNDFLAT RECORDS - as well as their unforgettable live-performance at the Soundflat Records Ballroom Bash, we're ready for more from ADOLPHE SEX ET SES MACHINES!

The Belgian/French group bring you their first LP and it is a blast! The boys have a fantastic 60s Hammond-R&B-French Beat-sound with a distinctive saxophone and a charismatic singer with his slightly dirty voice, that is unmistakably influenced by the Yeye-stars of the French 60s, such as Nino Ferrer, Jacques Dutronc, Ronnie Bird etc. The MACHINES deliver a great version of Bill Doggett's 'The Worm' with a groovy hammond-organ and a naughty saxophone.

They also cover the R&B-classic 'Burnt Toast & Black Coffee' and opposed to their single on STAG-O-LEE they now turn it into a French version - or rather a Belgian version ('Histoire Belge'), that adds a Yeye-touch to it. 'Le Diable En Personne' is their seducing French version of 'Shakin' All Over', the classic, orginally by Johnny Kidd & The Pirates. Other than that their own compositions are no less superb. If it's catchy instrumentals like 'Poudre A Muscle' or 'Vintage Girl' - with a heavy organ, the dirty saxophone, a cool fuzz-guitar - or danceable hits like 'P'tite Sotte' and 'Dis-lui' or even the funky song 'Dis-le moi' that just has a high amount of coolness to it.

The debut-album 'Poudre A Muscle' by ADOLPHE SEX ET SES MACHINES is a must-have if you care for French 60s and R&B/Garage!
