Back to the roots of the blues, but don't expect a polite history lesson! Italian blues troublemaker ELLI DE MON returns with "Wild Women Don't Have The Blues", a follow-up to her acclaimed 2021 album "Countin' The Blues", once again digging into the music of the fearless women who helped shape early American blues and gospel. Armed with raw guitars, stripped-down rhythms and her own uncompromising approach, she tackles ten songs associated with some of the most remarkable voices in blues history.

From SISTER ROSETTA THARPE's "Two Little Fishes And Five Loaves Of Bread" and JESSIE MAE HEMPHILL's "She Wolf" to MAMIE SMITH's "Crazy Blues", IDA COX's "Wild Women Don't Have The Blues" and BILLIE HOLIDAY's haunting "Strange Fruit", this is a journey through the music of women who refused to play by the rules. No museum-piece treatment here, but a raw, personal interpretation of songs that still have plenty to say.

Released on Area Pirata Records, this is a fascinating collection for lovers of primitive blues, gospel, roots music and the darker side of garage blues. Ten songs, ten remarkable musical legacies, and one artist determined to keep their spirit alive!
