Well, the title says it all! Two brand-new tracks from Thee Headcoats, wrapped in a suitably Smiths-ish sleeve - although Billy Childish freely admits he "actually detested them". Fair enough! "The reason we didn't sound like The Smiths" is taken from the forthcoming "Children of the sect" LP and delivers exactly the sort of raw, primitive Medway garage racket you'd expect from Billy and the gang.

The sleeve features Dave Davies, which makes considerably more sense: Childish grew up on The Kinks and particularly digs their early R&B sound and Dave's guitar playing. The B-side is exclusive to this release and won't be on the album, making this another one of those bloody 7"s you can't just skip because you're buying the LP anyway.
