The day has finally come to announce this long-awaited ninth release. Los Martinicos, an Argentine quintet, sons of Italian immigrants, captained by Fausto Pino are the protagonists on this occasion.
Originally from Villa Insuperable, province of Buenos Aires and sponsored by Henry Nelson, who produced them, made the arrangements and even gave them their own compositions, they made their way into the Argentine music scene with cumbia and guaracha rhythms.
It was in 1969 when, in an attempt to venture into the pop market, the songs that concern us "El amor es un bicho" and "El diablo", composed by Henry, were released in Mexico and Argentina, without transcending too much in the musical panorama of the time.
A short time later it was Henry himself who recorded these two jewels in Madrid, but without getting any Spanish record label to take an interest in them, being released on tiny labels in Mexico and Argentina, as he told us.
