The Swipes, founded in 2007, produce a sweeping sound which is quite unique. The strongest roots of their music lie deep in the swingin sixties and in the work of 70s protopunk, punk and post-punk protagonists like The Stooges, the Jam or The Clash. It sounds like "New Garage".
