In Madrid's underground, bands keep emerging that understand rock'n'roll as a wild, physical and urgent territory. The Oompa Loompas are one of those subterranean creatures: a noisy, sharp and fully electrified garage rock band that drinks deeply from the rawest sixties sound, twisting it into a psychotic, contagious party. The lineup features two well-known names on the scene, Chicho and Julia, members of Las Aspiradoras, one of the essential references of the dirtiest and most ferocious garage to come out of the Iberian Peninsula in the last decade. Here they maintain that same kamikaze spirit, but push it toward a more melodic and celebratory terrain, where everything vibrates with urgency and controlled chaos. With this project they prove that garage is still a living, dangerous genre in constant mutation. The Oompa Loompas don't revive the sounds of the past they set them on fire all over again.
