Back in print after more than ten years, "Stolen Friends" finds German roots rockers Smokestack Lightnin' teaming up with two very special guests: Eddie Angel of Los Straitjackets and The Planet Rockers and Paul Burch, formerly of Lambchop.

Together they dig through a selection of more and less familiar songs, moving between swamp rock, moody R&B, country and old folk tunes. Rather than simply recreating the originals, everything gets dragged into Smokestack Lightnin's own world of twangy guitars, dusty grooves and late-night rock'n'roll atmosphere, with Eddie Angel's unmistakable guitar work adding an extra dose of class.

A fine mixture of rockabilly, country, blues and swampy roots music with plenty of twang. Finally available again in a limited edition of only 300 copies.
