Miss Ludella Black is back, and judging by the title she's not taking any bloody nonsense! Her fourth solo album once again has The Masonics backing her, with Mickey Hampshire supplying the original songs and Jim Riley behind the desk at Ranscombe Studios. The result is Ludella doing what she does best - tough garage rock, soul and R&B with plenty of bite and absolutely no shortage of attitude.

Alongside the originals there's an Etta James cover and a version of "Why don't you smile now", which also appeared on the Delmonas' "5!" album. Ludella herself picks "I bear the scars" and "I'll get over losing you" as favourites, while the wonderfully titled "You waster you" has already become a highlight of her live set. No reinvention required here - just one of the Medway garage scene's great voices, The Masonics kicking up the dirt behind her and a bunch of proper songs. You'd be a fool to argue with her anyway!
