The story of the Styrian psychedelic rock band Hide & Seek is one of the most remarkable chapters in Austrian rock history. In 1969, the young Graz-based group catapulted themselves to nationwide success in record time, almost reaching the top of the Ö3 charts. Shortly thereafter, on the cusp of an international breakthrough, their fortunes took a turn for the worse, and the band broke up after only a few releases. What happened in between is truly remarkable, and above all, it's fantastic music. No other Austrian rock band of that era captured the essence of the British sound-a blend of freakbeat, psychedelia, and early hard rock-better than this remarkable group.
