Two Perth music icons, James Baker and Dom Mariani (The Stems, DM3, DATURA4), have teamed up to record a wonderful new single under the name The James Baker Beat. "Friday Night Friends" and "She Said (Bad Weekend)," both written by James and Dom, are instant garage punk and pop classics that evoke the sounds and rock and roll tradition of early Scientists and Stems. They had been discussing a collaboration for some time, and we're thrilled it has finally come to fruition.
