Although A-100s are a new name, the musicians involved are anything but newcomers. Built around Matt Hensley (Flogging Molly) and Sean Wheeler (Throw Rag), the band channels a shared love of classic Jamaican ska, rocksteady and early reggae into a thoroughly enjoyable debut album.

Drawing inspiration from the golden era of Jamaican music, "Rude And Lovely" combines authentic rhythms, soulful vocals and rich arrangements with the experience of musicians who have spent decades on stages around the world. The result is a record that feels respectful of the original sounds while avoiding mere nostalgia.
