Another nasty little masterpiece from Australia's finest bunch of rock'n'roll outlaws! Originally released on Red Eye Records in 1988, "Sour Mash" finds THE BEASTS OF BOURBON digging even deeper into the swamp, trading some of the frantic rockabilly madness of their debut for a heavier, darker and downright meaner sound. TEX PERKINS and company deliver thirteen tracks of twisted blues, grinding guitars and dirty underground rock'n'roll that sounds like trouble from the very first note!

From the stomping "Hard Work Drivin' Man" and "Hard For You" to the sinister "The Hate Inside", "Pig" and "Sun Gods", this is a band with one foot in the blues and the other firmly planted in the gutter. There's even a suitably battered take on Merle Haggard's "Today I Started Loving You Again". Fans of THE SCIENTISTS, THE GUN CLUB, THE BIRTHDAY PARTY and THE CRAMPS should feel right at home in this particularly unpleasant corner of Australian rock history!

A genuine cult classic from 1988, now back on BLACK VINYL courtesy of Radiation Records. Dark, swampy, uncompromising stuff from a band that never had much interest in playing nice!
