Nine Pound Hammer are back with their first new release in several years, and there's still no mistaking their particular brand of loud, greasy Kentucky cowpunk. "Too Outlaw For Outlaw Country" packs six tracks onto a limited picture disc, mixing four new originals with two classic covers.

Scott Luallen and Blaine Cartwright - also of Nashville Pussy - once again provide the songs, serving up the band's familiar collision of punk rock, country, Southern rock'n'roll and bad behaviour. Fast guitars, rough vocals and hillbilly swagger remain firmly in place, but alongside the usual ragers there's room for a little more straight-up country this time around.

Four new songs, two covers and absolutely no attempt at behaving respectably - Nine Pound Hammer doing exactly what Nine Pound Hammer do best.
