"Jugando Sucio" is the third and final instalment in Kinki Boys' trilogy of EPs, and once again the Spanish band refuse to settle comfortably into one particular corner of rock'n'roll. Four songs move from frantic punk energy and darker experiments to dirty streetwise rock'n'roll, while still sounding unmistakably like the same band.

"Amalur" races along at near-punk speed before slipping into a more tribal finale and also marks the band's first use of Euskera, with bilingual dual vocals. "Superviviente" heads straight for Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers territory, driven by a nervous guitar riff and suitably disreputable lyrics, while the title track pushes Kinki Boys into more unusual and adventurous territory.

"El Rey" finishes things with a swipe at ridiculous rock-star behaviour and a blast of Scandinavian-style rock'n'roll in the vein of The Hellacopters and Backyard Babies. Four quite different songs, but plenty of attitude tying the whole thing together.
