Down in the Australian swamp again! Originally released in 1990 on Red Eye Records, "Black Milk" is the third album by THE BEASTS OF BOURBON, and by this point TEX PERKINS and his fellow troublemakers had developed a particularly dark and nasty brand of rock'n'roll. Forget clean guitars, happy melodies and polite behaviour. This is heavy, brooding, blues-soaked underground rock with plenty of dirt under its fingernails!

Fourteen tracks including "Black Milk", "Finger Lickin'", "Cool Fire", "Let's Get Funky", "El Beasto" and "Execution Day". Compared to their wild debut "Axeman's Jazz", the band takes things slower here, letting the grinding guitars, dragging rhythms and sinister atmosphere do the damage. Somewhere between the swamp blues of THE GUN CLUB, the darkness of THE BIRTHDAY PARTY and the twisted Australian garage sound of THE SCIENTISTS, these guys knew how to make a record sound properly dangerous.

A dark little underground classic from 1990, now reissued on BLACK VINYL by Radiation Records. Another essential chapter in the story of one of Australia's finest and most uncompromising rock'n'roll bands!
