Two punk rock bands, two generations and a nice bit of musical cross-pollination: British '90s alternative-punk favourites China Drum team up with Frankfurt/Mannheim's The Swipes for "Can't Stop These Songs - Collection". Rather than a straightforward split, the LP digs through both bands' histories with rare, exclusive and previously unreleased studio, live and acoustic recordings.

The obvious centrepiece is a new version of China Drum's "Can't Stop These Things". The Swipes had already covered the song in 2025, but this time China Drum frontman Adam Lee takes the microphone, neatly connecting the original '90s band with a younger group who openly count China Drum among their influences. There are also alternative live and acoustic versions of "Meaning" and "Find The Time", both originally heard on China Drum's classic "Goosefair" album.

Released to coincide with the 30th anniversary of "Goosefair", this is far more interesting than the usual two-bands-half-an-album-each affair - a proper rummage through the archives with enough previously unheard stuff to make it worthwhile!
