Originally released in 1999, "Set Right Fit To Blow Clean Up" was the final album by Arizona's The Drags and remains one of the band's most ambitious recordings.

While some garage rock purists were puzzled by the album's heavier sound at the time, it has aged remarkably well. The Drags still deliver the raw energy and attitude that made their earlier records so great, but this time the songs are given more room to breathe, with fuzzed-out guitars, wah-wah effects, feedback, noise and even a touch of ragged country twang finding their way into the mix.

Recorded in a barn and featuring members of Scared Of Chaka and Monoshock, the album expands the band's sound without losing sight of its garage punk roots. Loud, dirty, slightly psychedelic and packed with attitude, it remains one of the standout releases from the late 90s garage punk underground.

Fans of New Bomb Turks, Oblivians, Scared Of Chaka and the wilder side of garage punk should definitely investigate.
