Los Bitchos take their globe-trotting instrumental sound one step further on album number three. "& Friends Vol. 1" brings guests from around the world into the band's already wonderfully mixed-up universe of '70s/'80s cumbia, psychedelic grooves, surfy guitars and tropical rhythms - music seemingly designed to make standing still bloody difficult.

The nine tracks include collaborations with Adrian Quesada and Sinkane on "Hang Up (Pt 2)", Kit Sebastian on "El Pençe", King Gizzard's Ambrose Kenny-Smith on "Holding Cell" and Chicha Libre on "Conexiones". Rather than turning the record into a random collection of guest spots, the different players feed naturally into that unmistakable Los Bitchos sound - playful, cinematic, rhythm-heavy and happily unconcerned with borders.
