Montreal's Retail Simps return from the dead - or wherever the hell they disappeared to - with their first proper 12" EP! After three LPs, a double LP, a pile of singles and cassettes and enough general nonsense to fill a feature-length documentary, "Real Simple" strips things back to eight songs of wonderfully loose, crooked garage punk'n'roll.

Recorded by Obediah Anderson, some tracks were knocked out live with the original four-piece while others received a little more studio messing around. Guests Kayla McNeil, James Anderson and Trevor Turple join the chaos, with drum duties split three ways. The result swings between scruffy garage stomp, fried punk, oddball rock'n'roll and surprisingly tender moments without ever becoming remotely respectable.

Total Punk says keep it real and keep it simple, and that's pretty much what the Retail Simps have done. Eight songs, plenty of hooks and just the right amount of stupidity. Limited to 500 copies!
