REPRESS OF 2018 ALBUM! Sick Thoughts is essentially the one-man punk wrecking crew of Drew Owen, Baltimore-born and later transplanted to New Orleans and Helsinki. On this self-titled album he delivers exactly the kind of beautifully obnoxious racket his reputation promises.

Buzzsaw guitars, machine-gun drums and ridiculously sharp hooks collide in a record steeped in the rawest end of late-'70s and early-'80s punk. There's plenty of Killed By Death-style filth in here, alongside traces of Zero Boys, Reatards and the trashier side of early Moetley Cruee - fast, loud and catchy without sanding down any of the rough edges.

Sick Thoughts manages the neat trick of sounding completely out of control while the songs themselves are actually tight as hell. Primitive punk rock with hooks buried beneath the dirt.
