Twin Temple's second album "God is dead" originally appeared - naturally - on Friday the 13th in October 2023, and finds the self-proclaimed Satanic Doo-Wop duo once again performing the devil's music in the most wonderfully inappropriate way possible. Think immaculate late-'50s/early-'60s doo-wop, soul and rock'n'roll, only with lyrics celebrating Satanism, individualism, free will and a healthy disrespect for religious dogma.

The joke would wear pretty bloody thin if the music wasn't so convincing, but that's exactly why Twin Temple work so well. Lush vocal harmonies, vintage rock'n'roll guitars and dramatic soul arrangements sound like they've escaped from some forbidden 1962 jukebox, while Alexandra and Zachary James merrily turn all that wholesome old-time romance upside down. The whole album was recorded in mono to keep that authentic vintage punch intact. Satanic doo-wop really shouldn't work this well - but thank hell it does!
